Practical guide
Understanding Klondike Solitaire
Klondike uses a standard deck of 52 cards, four suit foundations and seven tableau columns. You build down in alternating colors in the tableau and build up by suit in the foundations. Deal-one and deal-three draw rules change the challenge. An undo feature helps explore options, but a shuffle does not guarantee every deal is winnable. Keep track of hidden cards rather than assuming every exposed move advances the position.
Choose an appropriate tool
Play Klondike in your browser and explore card-deck helpers. Start with the primary interactive tool, then select focused companion tools for calculations and analysis. Each companion page displays its formula, inputs, example and limitations.
Understanding results
All calculators depend on assumptions. Inspect units and check whether the result represents an approximation, a measured value or a randomly selected outcome. There are no invented live results or universal translation guarantees here.
